We are proud to offer you a wide range of options when it comes to funerals. We have many years’ experience in delivering truly personal send off and provide advice on a wide range of options for you to choose from.

As part of our commitment to transparency following the recent Competition and Market Authority investigation into pricing, we have produced pricing guides in line with their findings and also the charters of our federations – The National Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF) and National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD)

These stipulate that we should show pricing online for both a simple funeral with limited personalisation as well as an unattended funeral.

Our Funeral bills are made up of two distinct parts:

Professional Fees
Disbursements (also known as third party costs)

Professional Fees
These are charges under our control, these include making all the arrangements with yourself, attendance at the arrangements, completion of all the necessary paperwork, arranging their safe delivery, telephone calls, liaising with other involved parties (eg churches, celebrants, organists, etc), the provision of a hearse and cars if required, a suitable coffin, conveyance of the deceased to our premises with full preparation and care.

Disbursements
Disbursements are charges paid out by ourselves on behalf of the family while arranging the funeral.

Examples of these are:

Cemetery fees
Cremation fees
Doctor’s Fees as appropriate
Parochial and church fees
Ministers/ Celebrants fees
Obituaries / acknowledgement notices in a newspaper
Floral tributes
Order of service sheets
Catering (this is usually paid direct by the family on the day to the venue / caterer)
Any other additional items that you may require

At the time of arrangements, we will advise you of an estimate of both our professional fees and any disbursements cost we may incur If you are worried about the cost of the funeral, we can provide advice on applying for support where appropriate as well as giving ideas of how to have a dignified service on a budget to suit you.
